Tastevin silver plated With Chain

Silver Plated Tastevin with chain. It should be worn around the neck and is therefore fitted with a chain and snap hook so that it can be released easily when it is used.

The tastevin has very ancient origins, but it is precisely towards the end of the 1800s that it found in France great diffusion both from the technical point of view (for official tastings) and from the commercial point of view (as a gift). Different sizes and shapes are produced.

Inside it has a side part made up of eight large recessed (concave) pearls specifically designed for the visual examination of red wines; on the opposite side there are the so-called hollow ribs, one next to the other, to examine the color of the notoriously more transparent white wines of red wines.

At the center is a large convex bubble, called a level bubble precisely because the quantity of wine to be examined must never exceed its cusp; around this there are fourteen beads in relief that serve to aerate the wine more quickly to better capture the aromas and aromas that make up its bouquet.
